I am a native of Austin, Texas. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas School of Law. I was licensed to practice law in May of 1980, and after working at two state agencies, I opened a law partnership with Danny L. Hardesty in September of 1984. In August of 1997, that partnership was dissolved and I have had my own practice since that time.

I have been active in the community, and have served in numerous positions with the Boy Scouts ofAmerica, from Webelos Den Leader to the Council Executive Board. I have served as president ofthe Buda Lions Club and am an Elder in the Presbyterian Church.
